These are my tattoos. I was reading Emerald's blog (link on side cause I don't know how to link here) and the tattoo subject is in her latest entry. I was asked not long ago about how much mine hurt. Now, I am a wimp at the best of times, but I had mine done almost a year apart, and both times it felt like the best back scratch I have ever had. If I had mine done somewhere else, I am sure I would have curled up in a ball and cried for weeks, but for what ever reason, my back seems to be tattoo friendly. The tattoo with the initials is not finished, at the moment it is the letter 'A' with the letter "T" as a dagger going through it. These are my daughter and granddaughter's initials. It needs a finishing touch, but until I wake up one morning with an apyphany (sp?) as to what I can live with the rest of my life, it will stay as is. In a perfect world, I would have done one on the back of my neck, under my hair but due to a car accident and shoulder/neck issues on my right side, that will have to be put on hold for awhile yet. Mine don't show unless I am in a tank, and even then only part of Tela shows, I don't know if I would get one that stands out somewhere else. I love to see other peoples, no body part should be off limits as it is self expression. I admit I don't really get the face tattoos, but as I said, to each their own. For me, when I am really sad, or having a crappy moment, I shrug my left shoulder back, and it is like giving them a hug, and they are patting me on the back, saying it's going to be ok. Sounds corny eh? But hey, it works for me!

I love tattoos, I have 3 of them. Th only one that actually hurt was the one on my lower back. I cried and the guy who was doing my tat felt so bad that he stopped and went out and bought me a strawberry milkshake and let me drink it while he finished my back:)
I have one on my foot... It is the best tattoo ever because it was a home tattoo my brother gave me. The needle broke right in the middle of it and now I'll probably never get it finished. Adds character!

I never got one myself - I could never think of anything I wanted permanently on my body. But, I was a tattoo artist for a while in college. It was a pretty cool job!
wow, I have never seen a tattoo artist without a tattoo,, lol!
I don't have a tattoo either, I just never wanted one. I did get my ears pierced but they have grown up now and I am too chicken to do it again.
I have a tat and I love it!! I posted a pic of it some time ago at my blog... last May, I think after I got my belly button pierced. I love that, too!
